Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman will be the location for the 1st International Bangist Convention planned for March 2014

Plans are in place to hold the 1st International Bangist convention on Grand Cayman. The conference will be held early in 2014 and will allow Bangists to meet fellow believers and discuss the theology of Bangism. According to US tax laws travel to an out-of-town convention of a charitable or religious organization can be written off as a charitable contribution if you’re a chosen representative to the convention. For example, if you’re selected by your church (Bangist) to be a delegate to a national or international religious convention, you can deduct the cost of transportation, lodging and meals. If you’re not an official delegate, but just attending the convention on your own, none of the costs are deductible. Anyone interested in becoming a delegate at the Bangist convention please leave details here.

  1. You will probably need to get a 401C3 status to be regarded as an approved church. I would just hate for a nice bangist like yourself to run into trouble with tax fraud 🙂

  2. Thanks Chialphgirl. Not being a US resident I did not consider that. Bangism will require registration in the US. I will look into what this involves.
